Maximo Califano

Maximo Califano studied at the Colon Theatre Institute of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was born. Upon graduation he joined Colon Theatre Ballet and danced in international ballet productions with well-known choreographers worldwide. He was invited by Ivan Nagy to dance with Santiago Ballet-Chile, where he performed soloist roles in Bayadere, Taming of the Shrew, Sleeping Beauty, and many others. He also worked with Semperoper Dresden in Germany, directed by the Russian dancer Vladimir Derevianko. He has danced with Royal Ballet London, Stuttgart Ballet in Germany, Buenos Aires Neoclassic Ballet and Argentine Ballet Company.

Maximo joined Ballet San Jose Silicon Valley in 2001, where he continues to dance as a Principal Artist. We are excited to have Mr Califano as a guest artist and teacher.
