The Los Gatos Ballet Guild was founded in 2007 by parent volunteers to help support Los Gatos Ballet and see the arts promoted in our community. Our first year brought 84 members, enabling us to take steps towards our goals. When you become a Guild member, you are given the distinctive opportunity to support ballet through your financial, and if desired, volunteer support.
We invite you to BECOME A MEMBER or RENEW your membership today. Join us and enrich our community by bringing culture through the art of dance to a local level, making it accessible to all age groups and socio-economic backgrounds.
Our Mission is as follows:

Provide financial and promotional support for theater productions

Provide educational and enrichment programs to the community including dance classes for elementary students in underserved areas and financial assistance through discounted or free tickets for the elderly, schools and other underserved communities.

Provide a community ambience and enjoyment for members and dancers by offering special programs, events for students, parents and friends and mentoring for new families and their dancers.

The Guild offers fund raising and special event activities throughout the year to support the ballet and its dancers including:

Annual membership dues

Patrons en Pointe, a reception to thank the Guild Members

Summer Intensive Cast Pizza Party for participants of Los Gatos Ballet’s Summer Intensive program and their families

Back to Ballet School Week including gifts for all dancers and mentoring for new ballet families

Dancer Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement is given annually to the dancer who has exhibited commitment to his or her craft, proactive mentoring towards younger dancers, and exemplary work ethic

Junior Guild, is a club for dancers 12 to 21 focusing on community service, mentoring and FUN. The Jr. Guild is student-run and activities include fundraising, “Little Buddies” mentoring, parties and more
The Guild also initiated and supports Leaps and Bounds, Los Gatos Ballet’s Dance in Schools program developed to introduce ballet to children who might not otherwise have the opportunity to take dance or receive other arts education classes.
