Enrollment is for an entire year (August-June). Once registered with a specific payment plan (Semester or Monthly), you are committed to that plan for the year. Changing your payment plan is not permitted until the next year.
Due to the fact that some months have more class days then others the tuition is based on the average number of class days in the months of August through June. There are 2 semester payments or 9 monthly payments, depending on which plan you choose. The semester option is only available to those who sign up in the Fall. Tuition will not be refunded for missed classes.
- No refunds or credits for any fees, tuition or down payments are given for any reason.
- Please make checks payable to LGBP. When paying by check include the student’s name and class level on the memo section of your check. You may drop the payment at the studio in the designated payment box or through the mail.
- There is a $29 returned check fee.
- Tuition is due on the first day of the month or semester. Late fees ($2 per day) begin accruing on the 6th of the month. An email reminder will be sent out prior to the first of the month. No invoices will be sent, unless it is to collect past due amounts.
- Students must fully enroll to participate in the Los Gatos Ballet program. Exceptions need to be approved by the Director.

- All new students are required to take a placement class before enrolling.
- Placement class is $18.
- Students are expected to enroll in all classes in the level for which they have been placed. Students who cannot enroll in the full schedule for their level may require a longer period of time to improve and advance.
- Students not fully enrolled may be limited in performance and other dance opportunities.
- If students want to take additional classes, they may take classes in a lower level.
- Privates (ballet or pilates) are recommended for any student who wishes to advance their level.
- Students are expected to attend all classes, as absences hinder the advancement of the student.
- Any student who misses a class or rehearsal due to injury or illness must notify the school prior to the class to be missed or as soon as possible.
- Injured students are encouraged to observe class (injury permitting).
- Any scheduled absences must be submitted to the school in writing prior to missing classes or rehearsals.
- Students may take a make-up class at the same or lower level within 30 days of the absence with the permission of the instructor.
- Continual absences adversely affect class progress and morale and are detrimental to any dance training.
- If a student must drop a class/classes due to injury or other unforeseen circumstances Los Gatos Ballet should be notified immediately.
Student Drop off and Pickup
- Please arrive 10 minutes early. Parents of Pre-ballet students need to stay with your child until class begins.
- Arriving more than 20 minutes late for class may result in student observing rather than participating in class. This policy is for the student’s safety and to reduce class disruption.
- Please be prompt when picking up students. If you are running late please call the studio.
- Parking is limited to the spaces reserved for LGBP as well as the parking lot in the rear of the building. Please avoid parking in spaces reserved for instructors or other businesses.
- Student Evaluations are conducted in June for Level 3 through 6.
- Students receive a dance “report card” and receive feedback from their instructors.
- Placement for the Fall session is addressed at this time. Students will remain in their current level for the Summer Intensive.
- Instructors thoroughly evaluate and take the time to place the students appropriately based on the student’s abilities, dedication and conduct.
- Each student is evaluated individually, not in comparison with other student’s age or level.
- We encourage the parent’s involvement during the evaluations, as this is an opportunity created for the parents, student and teachers to come together.
- Because Ballet is a performing art, it is vital for students to participate in performances to continue their growth as artists.
- All full time students who are enrolled at semester start and whose accounts are current, are first priority for performance opportunities.
- Part-time students or students who are enrolled after the first semester, may not be allowed to participate in Los Gatos Ballet performances. This guideline has been established to ensure the safety, progress and quality of Los Gatos Ballet, its students and its performances.
- Part-time students may be invited to perform at the discretion of the Director.
- All casting is at the discretion of the Director.
- We reserve the right to select or dismiss dancers at any time from any rehearsal and/or performance based on conduct, attendance, attitude or ability.
- Observation is limited to the weeks designated in the Calendar.
- We encourage all dancers to have bottled water with them.
- Before entering the building, please silence all cell phones and other electronic devices.
- We ask that students and parents keep the noise level down and be respectful of the Pilates clients.
- Absolutely no student or family member may sit, lie on, or use any of the Pilates equipment at any time.
Los Gatos Ballet is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and found items are kept for 30 days.
